FOREWORD

This year ends on a positive note for COMAT. We have signed the biggest contract we ever had in 2021 and our order level has never been this high. Our level of hiring as well as our results prove it. To fit the market and improve our efficiency we have reorganised our company into three Business Lines: Exploration and Science, Telecom and Observation, SmallSat.

In 2022, we will launch the construction of a 1,400 m²+ building, which will house a large integration area and premises for our partner startups.

Comat, an emerging company, is more than ever present on the space market and intends to be recognized as a leader by its customers and partners.

CNES's visit

We had the pleasure of welcoming CNES's president, Mr. Philippe Baptiste.

CNES, the French Space Agency, is a great partner/customer of COMAT. The agency helps us to define our equipment manufacturer's strategy by giving us expertise and technical means, as well as funding and contracts in order to support our innovations.

Philippe Baptiste said : "Comat is a great space equipment manufacturer located in Toulouse with prestigious and highly satisfied customers (space agencies, primes, startups). I’m impressed to see how the management is focused on quality, innovation and manufacturing excellence. Comat is a true example of what Europe can achieve when we all work together. CNES is very proud of this partnership."

Project News

AIRBUS Defence and Space and Comat partnering to deliver OneSat

Within the scope of the OneSat satellite product line, Comat was selected by Airbus for the industrialization, manufacturing, integration and acceptance test of a deployment and pointing sub-system key mechanism, to support the development of these new generation satellites.

The frame contract order signed covers several years and represents dozens of this equipment.

Comat is proud to be part of this Airbus highly innovative programme of flexible satellites, and to enable tomorrow’s connectivity worldwide.

The factory of the future 4.0

One year ago, we have signed up for the industry-of-the-future program led by GIFAS.

In order to meet the collective and individual challenges of industrial performance, we have applied for this support to improve our manufacturing process, and especially regarding our mass production of parts.

New premises

Within its ever innovative vision, COMAT has now a new brand signature and a new website comat.space.

Our facilities have been renovated to provide our employees with a better work quality and our visitors with a better reception. As part of our CSR approach, COMAT has worked with SCOP3, a company that collects professional furniture.

On the road to new human environments

SPADE and Comat combine their expertise to design human environments dedicated to space flights and planetary habitats. By anticipating the importance of psychological factors in long-term missions, SPADE bases its approach on operational optimums, adaptation to conditions and perpetuation of cultural rituals outside of Earth. Comat has been designing and developing microgravity equipment for many years.
