COMAT is developing a SADM (Solar Array Drive Mechanism) to increase the exposure of the solar panels notably on Earth observation platforms. This development relies on the bricks already developed by COMAT in the context of the development of its products.
Indeed, the main innovation of this product relies on the use of industrial components that meet the constraints of space environment and are compatible with its life span.
This SADM (200W) is the only European off-the-shelf solution for the satellite platforms needing more power. The qualification is expected for 2022.
